I'm a HUGE believer not only just in supporting others with what they love to do, but I also LOVE seeing women who support other women. It just fills me with warmth and happiness when I see it happening.
So I'd love to start sharing with you some women who inspire me with what they do, and I'll do this fairly regularly - at some point I'll definitely thrown some guys in the mix too, but for now it's about amazing women.
These first 3 may not come as a surprise to you but they really are women that inspire and motivate me, particularly when it comes to work.
First of all: WHAT. A. BABE.
I met Chloe not long after I signed with the same agency (MAXCONNECTORS) in a meeting for a job that we had both been booked for. I remember thinking I had made a dumb first impression because I laughed at something that wasn't particularly funny during the meeting. Yep, that was me.
Fast forward a few weeks to our job and I remember immediately just feeling like we had been friends forever. We got along like a house on fire. That sounds like a terrible analogy but it's the truth.
Since then Chloe, who I affectionately refer to as ChloMo, has become a dear friend of mine and also one of my biggest supporters. She is incredibly down to earth, particularly considering her ridiculously amazing achievements and she's always happy to help out a friend, offer advice and stand up for what she believes in. She's hilarious in person and in her videos, and she's not afraid to be honest and push boundaries. I love that about her.
Anyway, enough of the D&M - You should check out Chloe's YouTube channel (I'll be surprised if you haven't already) and her social media accounts here:
My intro for Desi is going to be a little shorter than Chloe's because, well, I've never met her. It's pretty rare for me to feel remotely 'fan-girl-ish' towards anyone, particularly considering I've worked with some pretty big names throughout my career but Desi almost pushes me to fan-girl status.
She's HILARIOUS, incredibly talented and has a way of making you feel like you're a part of her 'squad' through her social media channels.
She's known for bronzed, highlighted skin (which I love too) but she also mixes her looks up and throws colour into the mix pretty regularly these days.
If you'd like to check her out, this is where you can find her:
Karima is another beauty lover/YouTuber/blogger who is also represented by the same agency as myself and Chloe and I absolutely ADORE her.
I'd just like to note that what I'm about to say is coming from a place of love, nothing else:
Karima is the biggest beauty nerd I've ever known. I'm a little jealous but completely in awe of her. This is something I've told her countless times too.
Never have I had to google the definition of so many words as when I watch Karima's videos. This girl is like a dictionary for beauty. The next Paula Begoun. If you've read any of Paula's books you'll know what I mean. Karima speaks from a very factual, almost scientific point of view which I don't come across on YouTube often, particularly in a way that keeps me (and her ton of followers) completely captivated.
I trust her opinion entirely. I learn something new every time I watch one of her videos, or read one of her blog posts or spend time with her in person. Even if it's just a new word that I've never heard of before.
